Student Directed Theater Troupe (April 2025)
This initiative is part of the new HS theater club, Troupe, whereby students are organizing an engaging performance High School Musical, which they will present at three community locations. Each member of Troupe is taking an active role by directing scenes, choreographing dance routines, and teaching the music, allowing them to harness their talents and creativity. The performances will not only entertain but also build connections across generations, celebrating the arts and fostering a sense of community spirit.

Cancer Awareness Day
(April 2025)
On May 10th, four varsity teams will unite by dedicating their athletic contests to different types of cancer. Each team will represent a specific form of cancer, symbolized by its designated awareness color. Thanks to the support of the InstaGrant, all participating athletes and coaches will receive color-coordinated T-shirts to wear during their games. Additionally, colored bracelets will be distributed to both spectators and athletes to further amplify awareness and solidarity throughout the day.​

To Kill a Mockingbird Passion Project (April 2025)
Upon completion of their study of "To Kill a Mockingbird," students
will formulate a question based on the novel that they wish to
explore further. After researching their proposed topics, students
will demonstrate their new knowledge through projects of varying designs to share what they learned. The RNSF grant will cover art
supplies and materials for the students to use in connection with
their passion projects.​

Video Equipment for DW Morning Announcements
(March 2025)
The RNSF grant was used to upgrade and obtain new audio-visual equipment for Daniel Warren's "Meaningful Morning Announcements," a year-long series of daily videos featuring rotating second grade reporters. These videos serve an important role in highlighting, connecting, and building the overall community at Daniel Warren Elementary.

HOSA Conference Travel for HS Students
(February 2025)
The RNSF awarded scholarships to 22 high school students interested in health sciences to attend the HOSA Spring Leadership Conference in Syracuse in early April, 2025. This grant enabled students to test their skills in the health sciences in a range of academic competition categories against other students in New York State.

Binary Bingo
(February 2025)
This grant was used by the HS programming club to purchase materials and incentives for their March 13th binary bingo event, which taught middle schoolers the fundamentals of computer science. By participating in an interactive environment where they learned binary numbers with their peers, middle school students improved their students improved their teamwork and communication skills while gaining confidence in STEM subjects.

One School, One Book Program
(December 2024)
The entire Bellows community read "A Fish in a Tree" between February and March. Each child received his/her own copy of the book and were assigned chapters each night. Along with reading the book, there were also daily activities such as trivia questions and classroom discussions, cross grade workshops and a culminating experience for all students.

School Store for Student Incentives - Two Grants
(August and December 2024)
The schoolwide store initiative establishes a space where students can redeem tickets for various incentives and prizes. The store's operation and management will be overseen by 5th grade students, giving them real-world skills in inventory management, budgeting and customer service. Due to its great success, the RNSF just funded a second grant for extra supplies and prizes.

Sensory Tools for FEB Students
(November 2024)
The purpose of this grant is to ensure that there is a variety of sensory diet tools available for the students at FE Bellows. A sensory diet consists of activities and/or tools that have the potential to assist students with regulating their alertness, emotional regulation and their organization. When a student is able to achieve a "just right" level of these skills, it helps them become more available to learn. These tools will be available to any student that would benefit from them, not just those with a 504 or IEP.​​​

MS Comic Book Club
(November 2024)
The comic book club purchases new comics for interested middle school students. Once a month, beginning in December, 2024, students receive a copy of "Spiderman- Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider" and read and discuss the comic as a club. In future years, the club plans to work with the art club, yearbook club or an independent publisher to publish an original comic book that students' create.

FEB - Reviving the Life Garden
(October 2024)​
​This grant was used to purchase eight raised beds for planting in the FEB life garden. The beds will be a large part of FEB’s sustainability education plan, which will align with the District's strategic plan for transformative learning experiences. All FEB classes will adopt a portion of each bed that they will be responsible for maintaining. This will be an enrichment component to FEB’s science instruction.

MS - The Panther's Den
(August 2024)
The Panther's Den is available during lunch to help facilitate connections between students. This space allows students to spend time together in a supportive environment to foster new friendships, deepen connections with support staff and provides an outlet for students who want to take a break from the dining hall.

HS - Cell Phone Initiative
(August 2024)
The HS uses zone indicators-laminated “traffic light” signage-for classrooms and other areas to manage high school cell phone usage. A red zone will mean the phones are put away; a yellow zone will mean that phones can be used with permission; a green zone means that phones can be used freely.
